Earlier this weekend, Beyonce Knowles delivered an impassioned speech on the coronavirus’ impact on black communities in the United States. The singer-songwriter pointed out that around 57% of fatalities in her hometown, Houston, Texas, were black Americans.
Beyoncé also personally thanked all of the healthcare workers around the world who are putting their livelihoods at risk to take care of the sick and vulnerable.
Blue Ivy Carter, her daughter, is now doing her part as well. The young NAACP Award-winner participated in a public service announcement on the 18th of April in which she showed the public how to wash their hands.
Blue’s post featured a science experiment to illustrate the importance of washing hands and the proper way to do it. She said in the video that if you keep your hands clean, you have a better chance of not getting the virus, if you don’t, you might get sick.

Blue Ivy’s grandmother, Tina Knowles, was just one social media commenter who shouted out to the young girl. She claimed Blue Ivy was the youngest person ever to walk away with an important award. As it was previously reported, “Brown Skin Girl” was her first song on the Billboard Hot 100.
