With the summer months in sight, we’re getting ready for some new music with warm feel-good vibes. Cue the return of our favourite Bajan band Cover Drive, who have delivered just that!

‘Breakdown’ is the new reggae-pop track from the four-piece, and we’re already hooked on it. Co-written by front woman Amanda Reifer, the song talks about love gone bad, which is unusual for a Cover Drive song. There is a clear growth and maturity in terms of their lyrics, however, ‘Breakdown’ is still full of the good vibes which we know and love the band for.

Cover Drive unveiled the official lyric video via The 405 earlier today. Check it out below!

‘Breakdown’ is the follow up to their 2016 comeback song ‘Grapefruit Perrier’. The band, made up of Amanda Reifer, T-Ray Armstrong, Jamar Harding and Barry ‘Bar-Man’ Hill, are currently working on their sophomore album, which is due for release in April. The album, a follow-up to their 2012 album Bajan Style, is the result of two years hard graft in the studio with a host of reputable names including Boi-1Da (Drake, Tinashe), Angela Hunte (Alicia Keys, Britney Spears) and Will IDAP (Jessie J, Nico & Vinz).

We’re so glad to have Cover Drive back on the scene, as they continue to spread their Bajan vibes and positivity.
