Chael Sonnen has always been a big personality on the MMA circuit. He recently appeared on 'Andrew Schulz's Flagrant with Akaash Singh.
The host and the rest of the panel welcomed Chael, whose nickname is the "American Gangster", and immediately got into it.
Here, he didn't mix his words and stated:
"Ooh, I used to rob banks. I thought you knew that. I was young, I was 26...I used to rob banks." (0:10)The conversation evolved when host Andrew Schulz asked Sonnen how one would go about robbing a bank, and Sonnen indulged him.
"I was a very famous bankrobber...a gangster. A deal was made with Chael and the government, and Chael quit robbing banks in exchange for information on myself." (0:20)He also went on to say that he knew D.B. Cooper, a hijacker whose identity remains unknown to this day. Given the fact that top intelligence bodies have yet to identify Cooper, this, coming from Chael Sonnen, was shocking.
Speaking on D.B Cooper, Sonnen said:

Naturally, this was greeted with shock from the rest of the panel, including host Schulz. 'The American Gangster' played it off by saying that he thought they already knew. Given his penchant for playing heel and portraying a "character" in the public eye, it's hard to know if he was telling the truth or not. There are very few official sources, however, that can confirm or deny his story.

On his official YouTube channel, Chael Sonnen also broke down Kamaru Usman vs Leon Edwards 3. He called the match "bizzare" and gave his prediction, saying:
"I have to go with Kamaru Usman. I have to go with Usman...I don't have a choice."He then went on to speak about the bout in detail, dissecting the fight. From home crowd advantage to their different fighting styles, Sonnen broke down all the ins and outs of the fight.
