Despite 2016 being the year that One Direction embark on their extended hiatus, they’ve already had an incredible start as ‘Made In The A.M’ has been certified platinum in the UK.
BPI Music announced the achievement on their Twitter, with Made In The A.M, now joining the platinum status of their previous albums Four, Midnight Memories, Take Me Home, and Up All Night.

The success of the album is undeniable, with it becoming one of the fastest selling albums of 2015. The albums lead single ‘Drag Me Down’ shot straight to number one in the UK and reached Gold certification. ‘Perfect’ debuted at number two and has since gained a Silver certification, and ‘History’ reaching a new peak of number seven, making ‘Made In The A.M’ the third album of One Direction’s to have 3 top 10 singles, something many artists dream of having.
