Tamal Ray was one of the breakout stars on his series of The Great British Bake Off.

Who is Tamal Ray and how old is he?
Tamal is a British baker, columnist, and doctor.
His parents moved from India to the United Kingdom in the 1960s. He grew up in Hertfordshire.
He studied at Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School, and graduated with a BSc and MBBS in Medicine from King’s College London.
Tamal was taught how to bake by his sister, and he later baked a wedding cake for her wedding.
Since leaving the show, he has written columns for The Guardian and hosted TV shows including health show Live Well for Less.
Tamal was born in either 1985 or 1986, meaning he celebrated his 33rd or 32nd birthday in 2018.

Tamal reached the final of the sixth series of the show in 2015, and was a runner-up behind winner Nadiya Hussain.
